-notes on A Passion for Thee from the Wild Music
Let's ask God to set our hearts only on our Father. Let's ask Him to give us hunger and thirst for His word and presence. We should want to keep our focus on loving Him wholly. Let Him turn our hearts after Him. We should have a passion for Him. Ask Him to set a fire in our souls, a burning passion to follow Him. God can hear our prayers and He can use His powers to answer them. We shouldn't just serve Him, but we should also love Him with all of our hearts. We should be filled with the Spirit, and not quench and reject Him. Let's ask God to use us in any way in His ministry. Every motive we have should be based on our love for Christ and not ourselves. We should submit ourselves to Him with humility and not with selfishness. He should be our joy and our soul's desire.
"A passion for Thee; O Lord, set a fire in my soul, and a thirst for my God. Hear Thou my prayer, Lord, Thy power impart. Not just to serve, but to love Thee with all of my heart."
