Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord!

-notes from Great is Thy faithfulness-
You don't turn away from me even if I sin.
You don't change and You'll always love me.
You will be the same forever and ever.
You are always faithful to me even though sometimes I am not.
You are always merciful. You provide all my needs and even my wants!
You take care of me all seasons and even take care of little things like the sun, moon, and stars.
You forgive my sins when I repents and confess and You even died for all my sins on the cross. I owe you so much, Lord, but all You want from me is my love, obedience, and to bring You joy. You have peace between me even after I have sinned. Even your presence cheers me up and You always guide me in the right path. You give me strength everyday and You give me hope. You give me tons of blessings even though I don't deserve them.
"Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see. All I have need Thy hand hath provided. Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!"
Thank you, my Father!

Steps for Spiritual Maturity

-notes from Bible class
What is maturity? It means not being silly but being grown up, and acting your age.
These are the steps to Spiritual Maturity(Matthew 5: 33-48):
1st: Keep your word. Be a good example to others by keeping your promises.
2nd: Yielding your rights, Give things up in order to serve Jesus Christ.
-personal rights: defending yourself
-legal rights: if someone sues you or wrongs you, give them your best and give them more; go do twice as much (110%)
-governmental rights: submission to government
-financial rights: help people with money and don't expect something in return
3rd: Love your enemies and pray for them. Why should we? God teaches us to love others and God loves everyone, even sinners who are lost. What's our motivation? God will reward us in heaven.
"Spiritual maturity is not reached by the passing of years, but by obedience to the will of God"
-Oswald Chambers

Who's your best friend?

Is your best friend really the best for you?
We should keep away from those who are wicked. Psalm 1:1 says, "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful."
You shouldn't pick your friends by how funny, pretty, smart, athletic, "cool", and how popular they are. Pick friends that will encourage you to grow in Christ and friends that you can encourage also. If you really want to be more like Christ and avoid sin, then choose the right friends. Don't let your " best friends" pressure you into sin. When Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in Daniel 3 were told that they had to bow down before a statue, they did not bow down even though the consequence was to be thrown into the fiery furnace of King Nebuchadnezzar. It will take you to be different from the world to actually glorify God. You can't be listening to rock music and then going to church and worshiping Christ at the same time. We cannot serve two masters: God and sin. Some people will persecute you and make fun of you if you are trying to please God and lead people the right way but God will give you many rewards that will last for eternity in heaven. So do you really have the right friends? Don't be ashamed of being a Christian. Stand up for Christ. God will bless you.

12 Scriptural Verses that will show you if you are a true Christian

12 Scriptural Verses that I learned in Bible Class.
1- An event and a change, II Corinthians 5:17; Did something change in your life when you got saved? Did you stop feeding your addictions? Did you start avoiding sin?
2- New awarenesss of right and wrong, I John 2:3-4; God gives you wisdom to see the darkness of sin.
3- A desire to be more like your Father, Jesus Christ, and bring joy to Him, John 10: 26-28
4- A desire to win friends and relatives to Christ, Rom. 10: 11; Don't be ashamed of Christ and don't be afraid to be different. Being "cool" and being like the world doesn't glorify God, it only gives you a "good" reputation around unbelievers.
5- Social pressure from those who are unbelievers, I John 2:15-17; You start to feel uncomfortable around sin and you want to get away from it.
6- Love for other Christians, I John 3:14; Rejoice with your brothers and sisters in Christ when they rejoice and weep with those who weep.
7- Confirmation from the Holy Spirit, Rom. 8: 16; The Holy Spirit will confirm if you're saved.
8- Desire and understanding of the Bible, I Peter 2:2; The Holy Spirit will help you.
9- Fruitfulness, John 15:8; You will grow Fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness (kindness), goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance (patience)
10- Confirmation from the body of Christ, Matthew 7:15-16
11- Prayerful life, James 5: 16; You should pray everyday, not just for safety and blessings but to honour and glorify God. And pray without vain repetitions (don't repeat prayers over and over without thinking about them)
12- A joyfulness for the Lord by singing to the Lord, Psalm 100: 2; Sing your best for your Master. Worldly music does not please Him. Let us all use our beautiful voices that He has given us for Him and not for the world.
If you missed 3 or more of these points, you need to strive more for God.
Let us all bring joy to our Father.
